Meet Dr. Sheffield

A native of Chesterfield County, Dr. Sheffield is happy to be caring for the community where she grew up.  She attended Virginia Tech and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Chemistry. From there, she went on to receive her dental degree from The University of Pennsylvania and post-grad training from the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at VCU.

She began her career practicing in a health center outside Charlotte, NC.  It was there that she realized her passion for treating children. She loves that as a general dentist in pediatrics, she can offer a wide range of services to her patients. Each child is different, so each appointment is customized to ensure they feel calm and comfortable. Since laughter is truly the best medicine, she likes to keep appointments fun and light-hearted.  She also feels that education is key to understanding and preventing dental problems, so she takes time to explain treatments and options.
 
Dr. Sheffield enjoys exploring the restaurants and events that Richmond has to offer with her husband, Mike, and their dog, Kylo.  In her free time, she likes traveling, cheering for Virginia Tech, working on art and house projects, and watching HGTV.  She also prioritizes giving back to others and has volunteered locally at Mission of Mercy projects and abroad in Haiti. Dr. Sheffield can’t wait to meet and care for your family!
